What's the Difference...?

One member recently wrote to me and asked one of those profound "big" questions that we all ponder and we all have slightly different answers for. Since it was not a particular issue or problem they faced, but a kind of philosophical quandary, I thought it might be an idea for a Community Advice question that would spark some real discussion and insight.

The question is: What is the difference between loving someone and being in love?
