Question

Dear Dr. Love,

I'd just had sex for the first time. I had an erection, but didn't feel anything pleasurable, nor ejaculated. A week went by, and I had sex for a second time w/ a diffeent women and still didn't experience the pleasure needed to ejaculate.

What's wrong? PLEASE HELP

Answer

Lack of sexual feeling can be a sign of physical illness, so see your internist and get checked out. If you receive a clean bill of health, then you can explore the emotional factors that may be causing your body to 'numb out.'

These may include previous sexual abuse and/or unrecognized sexual conflicts that may relate to sexual identity issues or fear of intimacy. Be thorough in your investigations, and you will find the reason for your symptom.
