My ex boyfriend has decided to find me after not being in contact with me for 4 years. He lives in another state, and the last I heard anything about him, he was married. I would like to know if he is just innocently curious as to see how I'm doing or is it something else?
He Has Found You After Four Years

Question
People often ask me to guess what is behind another person's actions. Mind reading is too risky. Imagine if you guess wrong and act on that faulty assumption! Never try to guess what another person thinks or feels. God gave you a mouth so that you would use it.
The only way to know what are his intentions is to ask him point blank is he just curious or is it something else. If you are reluctant to ask him, then study your own reluctance. Are you afraid to seem too interested? If you are reluctant to seem interested, then ask yourself why is that? Are you afraid to be rejected?
Once you peel all the layers of your own psychic onion, you will be in a much better position to construct a question that properly reflects where you are c coming from. If, for example, you are afraid to ask him why he's back on your radar screen, for fear that he will make up some stupid excuse rather than tell you of his true interest, then you can construct a question that reflects our thoughts and feelings. That question would sound like, 'Why do I have the impression that you are hesitant to tell me that you might be interested in dating again.'
The best way to check out your thoughts or suppositions is to turn them into a question. This gives the other person a chance to confirm or deny.
Good luck. I hope that this turns out the way you want it to.
