Man with a Powerful Sex Drive

Sex drives vary enormously from person to person. Having a strong drive isn't a problem unless you feel that it is. If you are asking me this question, then I suspect that you do feel that your strong drive is a problem.

The first thing to examine is whether your unconscious mind is expressing unresolved conflicts through your sexuality. For example, I have known people who became addicted to sex when they were depressed. Since sex causes the release of feel-good chemicals, it is possible that you are self-medicating for depression.

What else could be going on? Sometimes a person may have been deprived of love as a child, which leads to a feeling of emotional emptiness. This emptiness can express itself in many ways, including an insatiable appetite for sex.

If your sex drive continues to upset you, talk to a therapist and see if you can get to the bottom of any emotional issues that may be rearing their head in an area where they don't belong. If you can't find any emotional causes for the insatiable desire, then you may need to make peace with your piece and be thankful that you function so well.

As you age and your hormone levels natural decline, so should your level of desire.
