Your Husband Has No Feeling When He Ejaculates

May 21, 2001

Question

Please! My husband is having alot of trouble reaching orgasm. In fact he doesn't.

It's as if he ejaculates without orgasm. Is that possible? It's been happening for the last few months. He was really sick back in July of last year, a tooth extraction gone haywire. He was very sick for almost 2 months.

He had to take antibiotics. He has been off those for quite some time now. Could this maybe be part of our trouble.

I'm desparatly looking for a solution. If you can help, I would be eternally grateful. Thank You. Kathy

Answer

Believe it or not, I know exactly what you are talking about. Your husband 's actually has loss of sexual feeling when he ejaculates. There are many possible causes for this type of sexual dysfunction, but I can probably narrow down the cause since you are very clear about when the problem began: following an extraction that led to two months of antibiotics use.

Whenever a person loses his/her sex drive or sexual feeling following a long course of antibiotics, it is reasonable to suspect that a systemic (throughout the entire body) yeast infection may have developed. You see, the mucosal lining of the body (this is the tissue that lines the mouth, digestive, and urinary tracts) is naturallly covered with a thin layer of bacteria and fungus (yeast). These organisms live in harmony and hold each other in check, preventing infections. When a person takes antibiotics, there is a widespread kill off of not only the 'bad' bacteria associated with the bacterial infection, but also the friendly or 'good' bacteria whose function, among other things is to keep the yeast in the body in check. When the bacterial flora is killed, the yeast rapidly multiply and mutate into an infection.

When this happens, all kinds of bodily functions go haywire. The yeast organisms themselves exude toxic byproducts that mimic hormones. This explains why some people with yeast infections show symptoms of hormone imbalances, loss of sex drive and feeling, and so on. See Dr. Crook's book, The Yeast Connection, for more information on how to detect a yeast infection.

At this point, your husband would be wise to see an alternative health physician who can help him rebalance his body (ACAM--short for, The American Council of Alternative Medicine--should be able to help him locate a practitioner in your area). That practitioner will probably advise him to take a natural antifungal preparation such as ProSeed brand, Triple Yeast Defense, and Nature's Way, Primadophilus (to replace the healthy, good bacteria). Your husband will need to determine not only the cause of his current health symptom but also what was imbalanced in his body even before. For example, the fact that he developed an infection following the extraction is a sign that his body was already out of whack (due to depression, excess stress, diabetes, hormone imbalances, and/or vitamin and mineral deficiencies?).

I should also tell you that the latest health research has shown that people who have undected blood sugar problems (high insulin levels) experience chronic inflammation throughout their bodies (including inflammation of the mucosa). This inflammation makes a person prone to developing infections, which may very well explain not only why your husband 's extraction became infected, but also why he went on to develop what sounds like a yeast infection. There is a home test available in order to detect whether an underlying blood sugar imbalance that is causing your husband to develop infections.

My best wishes for a speedy rebalancing of your husband 's body.
