Question

Hi Dr. Love,

I really hope you can help me with this issue. My boyfriend and I have been together for three years. He has two good friends that I have become sexually attracted to. I know this is not normal and that is why I need your help.

What is making me feel like this and how do I get it to go away? I love my boyfriend dearly and we have a fairly good relationship.

Please help me.

It is absolutely normal for you to be attracted to his friends, strangers, the mailman, the handiman, and anybody else that crosses your path. We humans are animals by nature.

Society imposes all kinds of rules on our behavior in order to curb our natural instincts to be murderous, sleazy, unfaithful, and so on. The point is, it is normal to feel all your feelings and not act on most of them.

Enjoy your fantasies about other men and stop attacking yourself.
