I have a long and complex situation. I was in a 2 year relationship with a man who I am still in love with but am so unsure of what to do. Our relationship was amazing at times and rocky at other times. Let me tell you a little about his past, maybe this will help to paint a better picture because I have a feeling the way our relationship was and how it ended has a lot to do with his upbringing.
He was told that his birth mom abandoned him, and he lived with his alcoholic father and stepmother until his father passed away when he was 10 years old. Then he moved to live with his...

Verbal Abuse
I have been through a very mentally and physically abusive relationship. He said he loved me, asked me to marry him and then he, sweet kind loving man, changed to Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. He was scary; he had such a bad temper and would have road rage every time we went somewhere in the car, get out and fight with people calling them all kinds of names. I would leave his place, then feel bad and call him and he would never answer, so I went to his house he wouldn't answer the dog so I got on my hands and knees to talk to him through the doggie door as I was talking he called...

Verbal Abuse
My fiance and I are having difficulty with communication. I'll try and talk to him about something simple and he starts to yell to get his point across. He's Italian, and his family is very loud as well. I feel like he is this way because it's what he's grown up with and sees nothing wrong with it. My family is the opposite. We sit down and talk about an issue to try to resolve it. I'm very sensitive and will cry (mostly out of frustration) when he starts to raise his voice. Once he's at that point, I can't calm him down and it seems like...

There are a lot of small questions within this larger question. I will begin with his trip. He went on a trip with some friends, and these guys were pressuring him to go to a strip club, get a special massage, whatever. He did not go however, but if he had that isn't the problem, those things are done often by many guys. There were also girls all around the hotel, apparently asking him to come "party" and he said no. The next day however, he said to me, "these girls are the hottest ever. I am really tempted. You are so lucky". Thing being, I am glad he didn...

Verbal Abuse
I'm in a rocky relationship with my fiancee of one year, Our wedding is approaching shortly and last night we had a hellacious fight.
In the past we have both been physically and verbally abusive towards each other but we have made some good progress. When she gets upset now she will hit me, slap me, kick me, and I feel like a sissy if I was to call the police. Should I leave?

Verbal Abuse
I briefly became involved with a married man. Before we were involved, he told me that he was leaving his (pregnant) wife. He also pursued me like there was no tomorrow.
I became convinced, finally, that it was safe to proceed. But soon, I noticed some confusing messages from him about leaving his marriage, and as a result, I ended our relationship immediately.
While I know I did the right thing to take care of myself, why does it feel so bad? It's like I have an argument going on inside my head all the time about this.
And, unbelievably, he feels that I used him and I even feel...
